On Wednesday, January 8th, 2025, the Financial Advisory Committee met to discuss preliminary revenue projections of the Town of Berkley.
In brief:
- The Town will see an increase in revenue related to the retirement of debt/interest in FY2026; driven by the Bristol-Plymouth and Berkley Community School exclusions.
- Berkley will see an increase in budgeted revenue for local receipts, thanks to a substantial increase in investment income and motor vehicle excise
- The Financial Advisory Committee will meet in six week intervals ahead of the budget cycle and will continue to refine revenue and cost estimates as information becomes available. FAC and Finance Committee will share budget update through the microsite throughout the process.
